Gambit: Strategum Antiqus is a whole new way to play Chess. An ancient game with a brand new twist, in Gambit, Character cards breathe life into inanimate Chess pieces; enhancement cards bring the intricacies of war to the Chess field, and a rich story and unique game system allow you to interact with the game of Chess in a new and exciting way.

Overview

Gambit: Stratagem Antiqus is a 2 player strategy war game based on Chess, with a twist. In Chess, a player captures a space by moving into a space occupied by an opponent; in Gambit,players battle over the contested space. Each piece or character has unique skills and abilities that influence the outcome of each battle. Enhancement cards also allow players to cast magic spells, equip characters with weapons, and activate other situations that reap havoc for the opposing player. The outcome of each battle is determined by the abilities and enhancements of the characters, the skill of the players, and the luck of the dice.
